In honor of all our moms out there, we invite youngsters ages 4 to 9 to join Betsy in her big, green chair as she reads - and discusses - A Chair For My Mother. Please bring your smiles, your hearts, and your imaginations to this special read aloud event.

Betsy has been reading to and sharing a love of books with children for a very long time. As a teacher in Lakeland, she hosted many book clubs for parents and kids, as well as school-wide community reading events. Now she’s retired, in three book clubs, and still loves reading aloud with kids best of all.

No advance registration needed, but we do ask you to arrive a few minutes before 10:00 so that everyone can be ready when Betsy opens her book.
