We are delighted to launch our author events with Mary Wu, who will read from her book, Confessions of a Kidney Transplant Recipient, and reflect upon her two transplant experiences from the perspective of an Asian-American woman. Mary will have organ, eye, and tissue donation materials on hand, as well as copies of her book for sale. And Jeremy Yau, LiveOnNY’s Community Outreach Coordinator, will be on hand to answer your questions about organ donation.
Mary H. Wu is an ABC (American-Born Chinese) patient advocate, poet, and published writer. She is an avid foodie, tea drinker, traveler, writer, cat lover, and swimmer. To learn more about her, please go to her website: “The Wu Way.”
For those attending in person, light refreshments will be available, and Mary will be happy to sign copies of her book (also on sale in the store). There is no cost to attend, but we do require advance registration for planning purposes. Seating for the live event limited to 30. Virtual attendance (via Zoom) is also welcome; please RSVP below.
