Songwriters' Showcase

Our Songwriter’s Showcase shines a light on the region’s hidden musical gems.

Join us for the inaugural edition of the HVBH Songwriters’ Showcase, the place to discover—or rediscover—what we love about the Hudson Valley: Original music exquisitely performed by the artists themselves.

Our December showcase features three distinctive performers: the Brazilian-infused jazzy sounds of Marcus DaSilva and Noah Appleton (aka NoMa), the Appalachian-inspired modern rock of Eli Musser, and the joyful grooves of musical duo Stay Sunday. Each will perform a 20-30 minute set. One ticket for all. Refreshments available for purchase.

We offer flex ticket pricing for this program: $10 to $25 here or at the door.

Songwriter performances will take place on our stage four times a year. Our 2025 dates are: Saturday, March 22; Saturday, June 21; Saturday, Sept. 20; and Friday, Dec. 5. Put the dates on your calendar and come support Hudson Valley music!

Stay Sunday

Stay Sunday, is a local band focused on uplifting communities through the joy of music! Primarily a duo, other musicians sometimes play with them, depending on the venue. They perform play a selection of originals, and covers, including a wide range of styles from Rock to Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Beyond.

Stay Sunday was formed by Cheryl, singer and lyricist, and Nick, guitarist and songwriter. They’ve been writing original music, and playing shows together for the past 14 years, since first meeting in Tarrytown. Stay Sunday's original music not only includes love stories, but also themes of overcoming working class struggles, to create a more harmonious world, where all folks can be free to create a life uplifted with Love!

Going on two decades as a performing NYC area singer/songwriter, Eli Musser brings a robust catalog of lyrical and melodic brilliance with him to the stage. Starting with his Appalachian roots, his guitar-driven solo material incorporates elements from multiple genres — folk, jazz, blues and classical — which adorn his more modern rock-influenced compositions. Expect Chris-Cornell-meets-John-Legend, plus some harmonica for fun.

Marcus began his life in music as a young classical guitarist in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro. Influenced by a vibrant mix of Brazilian folk music, pop and rock, he soon added bass and twelve-string guitar to his repertoire. Marcus has performed around the New York area, including Kenny’s Castaways, The Bitter End, The Marquee and CBGB’s, as well as Art Galleries, street fairs and farmers’ markets.

From Rio to Ossining, classical to Brazilian pop, alt-rock and jazz, Marcus DaSilva remains dedicated to musical excellence, discipline, simplicity and discernment.

Noah Appleton

Noah Appleton is a musician in a math teacher’s clothing. He began his journey behind the drums a couple years ago and is enjoying every step. NoMa is a thoughtful and creative experience he is excited to share.
