O-Town Reads at HVBH: A Community Reading Event

Rescheduled from October 27

Come join our first community-wide book club meet-up!

If you have been reading The Sentence, by Louise Erdrich and signed up for O-Town Reads (Note: there’s still time: just email betsy@hvbooksforhumanity.com to add your name to the list), then join us on Friday, November 11, 7 PM for a book discussion and related fun activities.

The Sentence is a story of a bookstore haunted by one of its customers. And of course, much more. What could be more perfect for this pre-Halloween read?

Erdrich, who owns Birchbark Books in Minneapolis, has blended fiction with fantasy in this wonderful tale of haunting, love, and fierce fidelity - set at the dawn of the pandemic. Erdrich's perspective as a Native American, her abiding love of books, her gentle humor and her reverence for the spirit world weave an unforgettable "ghost story" unlike any other. You can read about the book and Erdrich's bookstore, Birchbark Books, here.

Please RSVP here for our November 11 in-person gathering at our store. See you soon!
