Poetry Reading with Anastasia Vassos and Deborah Leipziger

Join us for a reading and conversation with two exquisite poets: Deborah Leipziger (reading from Story & Bone) and Anastasia Vassos (reading from Nostos). We will have copies of both books available in the store for purchase and signing.

Deborah Leipziger is an author, poet, and advisor on sustainability. Four of her poems have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Born in Brazil, Ms. Leipziger is the author of several books on sustainability and human rights. Her poems have been published in eight countries, in such magazines and journals as Pangyrus, Salamander, Lily Poetry Review, and Revista Cardenal. She is the co-founder of Soul-Lit, an on-line poetry magazine. Her new collection of poems, Story & Bone, is forthcoming through Lily Poetry Review Books. Her chapbook, Flower Map, was published by Finishing Line Press. Her work appears in numerous anthologies, including Tree Lines: 21 st Century American Poems.

Anastasia Vassos is the author of Nostos (Kelsay Books, 2023) and Nike Adjusting Her Sandal (Nixes Mate, 2021). Nostos was named a finalist in Two Sylvias’ and Headlight Review’s Chapbook Contests. Her poems can be found in Thrush, SWWIM, RHINO, Whale Road Review, Lily Poetry Review and elsewhere. Her poem Architecture of Anatomy was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She speaks three languages, rides her bike and lives in Boston.
