In Conversation with Author Lauri Nemetz

Join Ossining author Lauri Nemetz for her book signing for The Myofascial System in Form and Movement and her contribution to The Anatomy of Yoga Coloring Book.

Her own book includes a rich mix of art, anatomy, movement and ideas around the latest in fascia and what its role is in the body along with our muscles and more.  Whether you are a local physical therapist, an anatomist, art lover or someone who enjoys seeing connections between the big and small, this book will have something for you, and features some photos that locals will recognize.

She will be joined by several special guests including some of her book contributors. There will be a discussion and Q and A about her book projects, a bit of movement for those wanting to join in and some light snacks!

Both books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. Please click here to RSVP (for planning purposes).

The Myofascial System in Form and Movement 1st Edition
by Lauri Nemetz (Author), David Lesondak (Foreword)

The field of myofascial science is changing rapidly. In The Myofascial System in Form and Movement, Lauri Nemetz invites readers into the rich dialogue around movement, delving into anatomy, concepts of space, and the many other disciplines that are taking interest in the myofascial universe. Nemetz uses insights from our spatial relationship with the world to examine the human body, giving voice to the ideas and work of leaders in this area and prompting readers to develop their own ideas, as well as offering application suggestions to discover in your own body or with others. With an extensive background in art history, myofascial movement, anatomical dissection and more, Nemetz uses her wealth of experience to weave together the many facets of this evolving area in a visually rich and thought-provoking book.
