Building Body Confidence in Kids

Encouraging healthy eating without reinforcing diet culture doesn’t have to feel like an impossible responsibility.

Join us as Amelia Sherry, dietitian, mother, author, and Ossining-native shares practical advice and non-diet strategies you can use to help your own child be (and remain!) a happy, healthy eater! She'll offer tips on how to:

*Teach your child to enjoy, appreciate, and respect their unique body
*Inspire healthy eating without triggering shame or ramping up pressure
*Handle tough issues like sneaking food, over or undereating, and emotional eating with ease

With professional tools and compassionate insights, you’ll:

*Feel more confident and less stressed about meals and snacks
*Worry less about weight, size, and body changes
*Become the body-confident role model and well-balanced eater your child needs

This event is free, but we ask you to RSVP
here for planning purposes. Copies of Amelia’s book, Diet-Proof Your Daughter, will be available for purchase and signing.

Amelia Sherry, MPH, RD is the founder of NourishHer.com, an online space dedicated to helping mothers raise girls who have positive relationships with food and their bodies. She's a native of Ossining, New York and still lives in the rivertowns with her husband and daughters.
