Singing the Body

Singing the Body with Francesca Genco

Singing the Body: Discovering Your Natural Self through Song

Yes, this workshop is for you, whether you love to sing or want to love to sing, whether you are a “non-singer”, shower singer or professional singer. Join us for this playful, deep and rich approach to singing and making sound!

We will:

• Explore our voices through exercises that make it easy and fun to make sound and sing.

• Learn to deeply listen and respond.

• Engage our bodies as the beautiful instruments they are.

• Learn from one another, whether we’ve had a lot, a little or no voice training.

• Unlearn things we’ve been taught that stifle our creativity and enjoyment.

A special welcome to those of you who think you “can’t sing”! You’re probably thinking: “I know good singing when I hear it and I can NOT do that!”

Ponder this: Talking is a form of singing and by now you’re an expert talker. You already have a unique way of expressing yourself with your voice!

“If you can walk, you can dance. If you can talk, you can sing.” — Zimbabwean proverb

Workshop fee is $35.
