Michael Bertone Collage Show

Michael Bertone Collage Show

Come celebrate Ossining artist Michael Bertone and his curious, compelling works in collage. Michael’s collages are a jumble of mixed media. Juxtaposing ripped up photos from magazines has been a pastime since he was a kid—even destroying his family photo albums to his mother’s horror. Michael incorporates humor, sensuality and silly surprises in his collages.

This show contains artwork from the last 15 years (or so).

Come visit the exhibit—then meet the artist at a reception in the store, October 26 (5:30-7:00 PM) and purchase your favorites. All pieces priced between $50 and $130. Mike will be happy to chat about the show or anything related to vinyl records, the NYC subway or Brooklyn. Refreshments will be served.

About Michael

Michael Bertone grew up in Coney Island, Brooklyn, across the street from the Cyclone and the sand, but he can barely swim.  He grew up on cheesy sci-fi movies and two-hand-touch football, admiring Bruce Lee and William Blake. Michael is a track worker for the MTA, maintaining NYC’s subway system for the last 18 years.  Like many others, Michael moved north during the pandemic. He lives in Ossining with his supercalifragilisticexpialidocious wife and gem-of-a-daughter.
